SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources function at the facility. The Human Resources Coordinator provides exceptional customer service to employees, supervisors, and managers while assisting with recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and administrative HR processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate in recruiting and hiring activities to ensure timely filling of open positionsProcess offer letters, confidentiality agreements, and new hire documentation
- Prepare welcome letters, new hire files, and orientation materials
- Assist with new hire orientation and onboarding activities
- Coordinate pre-employment screenings, including background checks, and report discrepancies to the Human Resources Manager
- Maintain employee files and records in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Maintain employee records in the HRIS
- Set up and maintain time and attendance systems
- Manage ID/security badge setup and maintenance
- Review, audit, and submit HR-related invoices for approval, including pre-employment screenings, temporary agency staffing, and employee-related expenses
- Create and distribute employee communication materials as directed
- Provide support to employees by answering HR-related questions and referring them to the appropriate resource
- Be knowledgeable about company benefits to provide information and support
- Assist employees with time off requests and general HR inquiries
- Conduct exit interviews and report results to the Human Resources Manager
- Assist with employee recognition activities, including service awards, employee of the month, and company events (e.g., holiday parties, luncheons, company communication meetings)
- Support training and safety initiatives and assist where needed
- Assist in managing the employee uniform program and resolving issues
- Participating in Human Resources staff meetings and company meetings
- Collaborate with Human Resources team members to support departmental initiatives
- Participate in training and development opportunities, including cross-training
- All other duties as assigned
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred
- Human Resources certification(s) preferred
- 1–2 years of human resources experience in a multi-shift manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access) and HRIS systems
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills are a plus
