HR Generalist
Position Details
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Work Arrangement: 100% onsite
Position Overview
The HR Generalist supports the daily operations of the Human Resources department, including recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, and the enforcement of company policies and procedures.
Working under the direction of the Human Resources Manager, this role partners closely with plant leadership to help promote a high-performance culture across all levels of the facility. The HR Generalist will also serve as a primary resource for employees by responding to questions, resolving concerns, and providing timely HR support.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment and Onboarding
- Manage full-cycle recruiting activities, including candidate sourcing, resume screening, interviewing, and extending job offers.
- Prepare onboarding materials and coordinate pre-employment screenings.
- Facilitate new-hire orientation and onboarding activities.
- Partner with hiring managers to support staffing needs and ensure a positive candidate experience.
Employee and Labor Relations
- Address employee relations matters and provide guidance to managers on employee-related issues.
- Respond to and resolve employee questions, concerns, and workplace matters.
- Partner with the HR Manager to clearly communicate company policies and procedures.
- Support a responsive, customer-focused HR environment.
- Organize employee engagement activities and conduct stay interviews.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performance workplace culture.
HR Administration
- Generate HR reports and metrics to support business decisions and monitor progress toward HR goals.
- Maintain and update employee records while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
- Prepare and process HR documentation related to employment agreements, promotions, terminations, and other personnel actions.
- Assist employees with benefits-related questions and issues.
- Support the administration of HR programs, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related field.
- One to three years of relevant Human Resources experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proven ability to prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines.
- Self-directed, hands-on approach to Human Resources.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Proficiency with HR systems or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management platforms.
Preferred
- Previous Human Resources experience within a manufacturing, warehouse, or plant environment.
