Position Summary
We are seeking detail-oriented Contract HR Specialists to support the People Operations Employee Lifecycle team by conducting virtual I-9 documentation reviews and completing Section 2 of the Form I-9 within Workday. This role is critical to ensuring compliance with federal employment eligibility verification requirements while delivering a seamless and professional onboarding experience for new hires.
The ideal candidate has prior experience completing Form I-9s, conducting virtual document inspections, and working within an HRIS platform, preferably Workday.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual I-9 document inspections in accordance with company guidelines and federal requirements.
- Complete Section 2 of the Form I-9 accurately within Workday.
- Review employment authorization documents for authenticity, completeness, and compliance.
- Ensure adherence to federal I-9 regulations and internal compliance standards.
- Partner with HR, Talent Acquisition, and new hires to resolve documentation issues in a timely manner.
- Track and manage I-9 cases to ensure completion within established deadlines.
- Escalate complex documentation or compliance issues as appropriate.
- Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive employee information.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience completing Form I-9 Section 2 verification.
- Strong understanding of employment eligibility verification requirements and acceptable documentation.
- Experience using Workday or a similar HRIS platform.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage a high volume of transactions in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential employee information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting HR Operations or Employee Lifecycle teams.
- Familiarity with E-Verify processes.
- Experience conducting virtual I-9 document verification.
- HR compliance or audit experience.
