Position Summary
Nesco Resource is seeking an experienced HR Assistant II to support site-level Human Resources operations. This role provides administrative and HR support to employees, management, and applicants while assisting in the delivery of HR programs and services. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in handling confidential information in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform complex administrative duties in support of Human Resources operations
- Prepare and compile reports, including monthly and ad-hoc reporting for leadership
- Assist with payroll processing and resolve discrepancies
- Support recruiting efforts including applicant tracking, scheduling interviews, and onboarding coordination
- Process new hire paperwork and assist with employee system setup
- Maintain and organize HR files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Provide support for employee inquiries and route requests appropriately
- Assist with leave of absence cases and HR-related documentation
- Perform data entry and compile HR-related reports
- Order office supplies, process invoices, and manage miscellaneous purchases
- Interpret company policies and assist in resolving employee questions
- Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and company information
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 3 years of administrative experience
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Human Resources or administrative support roles
- Familiarity with database management systems
- Experience supporting payroll or onboarding processes
Work Environment / Additional Information
- May require working in an industrial or outdoor environment with appropriate PPE
- Must be able to comply with safety standards and workplace policies
- Pre-employment drug screening may be required
