Job Title: Grinder/Finisher
Location:
Lake Mary, FL
Pay:$16+ per hour
Shift:
2:30-1am Monday to Thursday
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate hand-held grinders, swing grinders, and/or CNC grinding machines to meet production requirements
- Grind, polish, sand, and sharpen materials to remove welds, defects, rust, and excess material
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers) to ensure they meet specifications and tolerances
- Select, install, and maintain proper grinding wheels and attachments, including dressing wheels as needed
- Follow all safety procedures and properly use required PPE (safety glasses, ear protection, respirators, etc.)
- Maintain accurate production logs and documentation of completed work
- Keep work area clean, organized, and safe at all times
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment preferred
- Experience using hand tools and pneumatic/electric grinders
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- CNC grinding experience is a plus
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, heat, and fumes
- Must consistently wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
