Nesco Resource is hiring for our client in Nichols NY.
We are seeking a dependable and motivated General Warehouse Worker
to join our distribution center team. In this role, you will help ensure products are received, processed, stored, and shipped efficiently to customers across the country. You will work collaboratively with team members to move merchandise to designated locations, load and unload trucks, and safely operate forklifts and other powered equipment as authorized.
The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Hours: 2nd shift: 6pm to 4:30am
Pay: $21.90 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and process merchandise for inbound and outbound shipments.
- Move and organize products in their designated warehouse locations.
- Safely operate forklifts and other powered equipment when trained and authorized.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Accurately complete and process required shipping, receiving, and inventory paperwork.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and operational guidelines.
- Work effectively with team members to meet productivity and shipping deadlines.
- Perform other warehouse-related duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to stand and sit for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment that is not climate-controlled.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current certification or demonstrated qualification to operate powered industrial equipment.
- Previous warehouse, distribution center, shipping, or receiving experience.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures and material-handling practices.
