Location: Rochester, NY
Summary: Nesco Resource is seeking dependable General Laborers to assist a manufacturing company with relocating operations to a nearby facility. This is a hands-on position primarily focused on packing, palletizing, cleaning, moving materials and equipment, and loading trucks throughout the relocation process. This role is a contract opportunity, expected to last until October 31st, 2026. Contract employees that show dedication, display excellent attendance and attitude, and show a willingness to learn may earn a longer-term role within the company after the move is completed!
Pay Rate:
- $20.00/Hour
Shift:
- Monday – Thursday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Some flexibility on start time, if needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Pack and prepare materials, equipment, and supplies for transport
- Palletize products and materials for safe movement
- Load and unload trucks
- Move boxes, equipment, materials, and supplies throughout the facility
- Assist with organizing and staging items before and after the move
- Perform general cleaning and housekeeping duties
- Break down and prepare work areas for relocation
- Safely lift, carry, and move materials throughout the facility
- Assist with setup and organization at the new facility as needed
- Follow all workplace safety procedures
- Perform additional general labor duties as needs change throughout the project
Qualifications:
- Previous warehouse, manufacturing, moving, or general labor experience preferred but not required
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. regularly
- Comfortable performing physical work throughout the shift
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
- Willingness to assist in different areas as project needs change
- Strong work ethic and attention to safety
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Active manufacturing and warehouse environment
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling
- Regular lifting and moving of materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Hands-on work throughout the majority of the shift
- May work in both the existing and new manufacturing facilities during the relocation project
