Food Quality Analyst

Summary: Nesco Resource is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Food Quality Analyst to support quality assurance operations within a food manufacturing facility in Brockport, NY. This temp-to-perm opportunity provides the chance to build a long-term career while supporting food safety, quality control, and production standards. The Food Quality Analyst will perform product audits, verify packaging and labeling accuracy, complete inspections, and ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will be organized, comfortable using computer systems, and committed to maintaining high-quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Pay Rate:
- $18.55 - $20.55/Hour (Based On Experience)
Shift(s):
- 3rd Shift:
11:00 PM - 7:00 AM | Sunday - Thursday
- Occasional weekends, vacation coverage, and overtime may be required
Job Duties:
- Perform quality audits of finished products including grade, packaging, labeling, coding, and weight verification
- Conduct routine product inspections at required intervals throughout the production process
- Document inspection results electronically using company systems and software
- Review production schedules and verify products meet required specifications
- Ensure products comply with Federal and State food safety regulations
- Identify, document, and communicate quality concerns or non-conformances
- Support food safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance initiatives
- Maintain accurate quality records, reports, and inspection documentation
- Work closely with production teams to address quality issues and maintain standards
- Follow GMP, HACCP, SQF, and all company food safety procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Previous quality control, food manufacturing, production, or inspection experience preferred
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn quality tracking systems
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and documentation requirements
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with production teams
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
- Reliable transportation required
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
- Ability to work in a food manufacturing environment
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and repetitive tasks throughout the shift
- Ability to work around production equipment and manufacturing processes
- Comfortable working in refrigerated or temperature-controlled environments
- Exposure to noise, varying temperatures, and industrial conditions
- Must follow all PPE, food safety, and workplace safety requirements
- Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail throughout the shift
