Responsibilities

  • Perform First Article, in-process, incoming, and final inspections of manufactured components and assemblies
  • Follow manufacturing plans, inspection procedures, and customer specifications to accurately determine product acceptance
  • Inspect parts using precision measuring tools, functional gauges, and test fixtures
  • Utilize sampling plans to verify product conformity and compliance with requirements
  • Identify, document, and segregate nonconforming material for proper disposition and resolution
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, technical specifications, and manufacturing instructions
  • Record and report inspection results using computer-based systems, including variable data and SPC documentation
  • Review product and inspection history to identify trends and support quality analysis
  • Ensure compliance with workmanship standards and quality system requirements (AS9100/ISO environments where applicable)
  • Support administrative tasks including documentation control, reporting, and inspection record preparation
  • Collaborate with quality, engineering, and production teams to resolve discrepancies and improve processes

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1–3+ years of inspection experience in a manufacturing environment (aerospace or semiconductor preferred)
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection procedures
  • Experience using mechanical and electrical inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, test fixtures, etc.)
  • Understanding of GD&T principles and application in inspection processes
  • Familiarity with SPC (Statistical Process Control) methods and reporting
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining and special processes (heat treat, plating, welding, etc.)
  • Strong basic math, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Computer proficiency for data entry, reporting, and inspection documentation

Physical Requirements

  • Vision correctable to 20/25 required
  • Must pass color vision testing for visual inspection requirements

  • Location: Phoenix, AZ
  • Shift: 2nd Shift M-T 3:30pm-2am
