Position Summary
We are seeking a Financial Analyst / Technical Writer to support engineering teams by providing financial analysis, cost tracking, purchase request support, and technical documentation. This role combines financial planning responsibilities with technical writing and requires someone who can effectively collaborate with engineering, finance, procurement, and program teams.
The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, advanced Microsoft Office proficiency, experience supporting engineering organizations, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Analysis
- Analyze financial data to support engineering and program teams.
- Prepare financial reports and provide analysis to support business decisions.
- Monitor budgets, costs, and expenditures.
- Perform cost analysis, variance reporting, and actual versus plan analysis.
- Identify financial trends and provide recommendations for process improvements.
- Generate and support purchase requests for engineering organizations.
- Assist with financial planning and cost control initiatives.
Technical Writing
- Support engineering teams with technical documentation.
- Create, edit, and maintain:
- Test plans
- Procedures
- Final reports
- Technical documentation
- Presentations
- Ensure documentation is accurate, organized, and professionally formatted.
Cross-Functional Support
- Partner with Engineering, Finance, Procurement, and Program teams.
- Support contractor management activities.
- Assist with contractor requisition processes, including Beeline requisitions.
- Help improve financial reporting processes and documentation standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in:
- Finance
- Accounting
- Business Administration
- Related field
- Professional certification preferred, such as:
- CMA
- CPA
- Equivalent financial certification
- Minimum 2 years
of experience in:
- Financial Analysis
- Cost Accounting
- Finance
- Related analytical roles
- Strong understanding of:

- Ability to collaborate effectively across Engineering, Finance, Procurement, and Program Management teams.
- Experience within the defense or aerospace industry is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with aerospace financial systems and business processes is a plus.
