Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform final inspection of components and finished products using microscopes and other inspection equipment.
  • Examine parts for defects, imperfections, contamination, dimensional accuracy, and conformance to specifications.
  • Utilize precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and comparators as required.
  • Review product drawings, specifications, work instructions, and inspection criteria.
  • Accurately document inspection results and maintain quality records.
  • Segregate and identify nonconforming materials according to established procedures.
  • Report quality concerns, defects, and production issues to supervisors and quality personnel.
  • Ensure all inspected products meet customer, regulatory, and company quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety and quality requirements.
  • Follow all company policies, quality procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and quality audits as needed.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, quality inspection, or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to use microscopes for extended periods of time.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify minor defects and irregularities.
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions, engineering drawings, and specifications.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Preferred

  • Experience performing visual inspections in a manufacturing or cleanroom environment.
  • Familiarity with ISO quality standards and inspection procedures.
  • Experience using precision measurement equipment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods during inspections.
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand and finger movements.
  • Strong visual acuity, including close-up inspection of small components.
  • Ability to distinguish fine details, colors, and surface defects.
  • Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
