Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Post-Eligibility Specialist to manage a caseload of dependent youth receiving federal benefits, including Social Security, Veterans, and/or Railroad Retirement benefits.
This position is responsible for actively monitoring cases, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring continued compliance with applicable federal benefit program guidelines and Arizona Revised Statute (A.R.S. § 8-468).
The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing a high-volume caseload, reviewing detailed case information, meeting deadlines, and working within established state and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and actively manage an assigned caseload of dependent youth receiving federal benefits.
- Manage a caseload that may include up to approximately 300 individual cases.
- Monitor Social Security, Veterans, and Railroad Retirement benefits as applicable to assigned cases.
- Ensure cases remain compliant with applicable federal benefit program guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with Arizona Revised Statute (A.R.S. § 8-468).
- Review case information and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain accurate and timely case records.
- Monitor case activity and complete required follow-up within established timelines.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders regarding benefit-related matters.
- Manage competing priorities and deadlines within a high-volume environment.
- Perform additional case management and administrative responsibilities as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong case management and organizational skills.
- Experience managing a high-volume workload or caseload.
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Ability to interpret and follow policies, procedures, statutes, and program guidelines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to independently prioritize and manage multiple deadlines.
- Experience with Social Security or other federal benefit programs is a plus.
- Government, social services, eligibility, benefits, case management, or similar experience is beneficial.
- Strong computer and data-entry skills.
