is seeking a qualified Facilities Maintenance Technician
for a long-term client of ours in Taylor, MI
Summary:
This position performs various duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain facility equipment. This role also involves consistant upkeep of the grounds, both inside and outside, to ensure quality support for the environment.
Shift:
2 nd
, with flexibility to work on 3 rd
1pm to 9pm, Monday through Friday
Pay: $22-24/hour, per level of experience
Responsibilities:
- Perform general facility housekeeping, including grounds, waste cleaning, and recycling removal
- Perform a variety of skilled work in the maintenance and repair of company facilities and equipment;
- Construct, rebuild, and repair company-specific equipment and furniture; prepare surfaces for painting and varnishing and apply surface coverings as required
- Maintain all maintenance records for HVAC, fire prevention/suppression, and emergency lighting
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical wiring, fixtures, motors, and lighting circuits
- Perform troubleshooting and repairs on facility equipment and building systems
- Perform work requiring skills including, but not limited to: mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, HVAC, and other tasks as directed by the Facilities Manager
- Provide scheduled and emergency/unscheduled repairs of facility equipment
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office, Email, and Web usage
