Nesco Resource is currently seeking experienced Welders/Fabricators for a well-established manufacturing company in Lakeland, FL. This position offers stable, year-round employment in a production fabrication environment building conveyor systems and material-handling equipment.
This is not an entry-level role. Candidates should have prior fabrication experience, be comfortable reading blueprints, and be capable of independently completing assemblies from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and work orders.
- Verify materials and component specifications before fabrication.
- Cut, grind, bevel, drill, and prepare materials for assembly.
- Client out, fit, and fabricate steel components and assemblies.
- Perform MIG and flux-core welding on structural steel components.
- Grind, clean, and finish weldments for final production.
- Inspect completed assemblies to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy.
- Operate fabrication equipment and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Work independently and as part of a fabrication team.
Qualifications
- Previous welding and fabrication experience required.
- Strong blueprint-reading and measuring skills.
- Experience with MIG and/or flux-core welding.
- Ability to use standard fabrication tools and equipment.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage projects independently.
- Forklift and overhead crane experience is a plus.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting throughout the shift.
- Ability to safely work around fabrication equipment and machinery.
- Ability to work in a production manufacturing environment.
