Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Dishwasher to join our team at our event center. This role is essential to maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment during weddings, corporate events, banquets, and other special occasions. The ideal candidate is a team player who takes pride in keeping the kitchen running smoothly and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashing equipment and by hand as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area and kitchen.
- Empty trash and recycling containers and dispose of waste properly.
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors and clean work surfaces throughout each shift.
- Assist with cleaning and sanitizing food preparation areas in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Restock clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen supplies in designated storage areas.
- Support kitchen staff with basic cleaning and organizational tasks as needed.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Help with event setup and breakdown duties when requested.
Qualifications
- No previous experience required; experience in a commercial kitchen is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed.
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive motions.
- Comfortable working in a hot, wet, and fast-paced kitchen environment.
