Fleet Maintenance Technician

Location: Phoenix, AZ
Schedule: 100% Onsite

Position Overview

We are seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance, minor mechanical repairs, tire service, and customer support for a fleet of light and heavy-duty vehicles and equipment. This position plays a key role in ensuring fleet reliability through routine maintenance, inspections, and accurate documentation.

Please Note: All candidates selected for this position must consent to an annual Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check conducted by the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) while on assignment.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance (PMs) on light and heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.
  • Complete routine lube, oil, and filter changes.
  • Inspect, repair, mount, rotate, and replace tires.
  • Perform minor mechanical repairs and adjustments.
  • Replace batteries, belts, hoses, light bulbs, and other basic components.
  • Inspect equipment and identify additional repair needs.
  • Communicate repair recommendations and maintenance concerns to the Lead Technician, Customer Service Representative, or Supervisor.
  • Assist experienced mechanics with major repairs and equipment overhauls.
  • Provide professional customer service and support.
  • Enter maintenance information into a PC-based Fleet Management System.
  • Maintain accurate preventative maintenance records and service documentation.
  • Operate fleet vehicles and equipment as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience performing preventative maintenance on vehicles or heavy equipment.
  • Knowledge of vehicle lubrication, oil changes, and basic mechanical repairs.
  • Experience inspecting and servicing tires.
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
  • Basic computer skills for entering maintenance records.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to pass an annual Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review while on assignment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on light and heavy-duty fleet vehicles.
  • Tire mounting and balancing experience.
  • Fleet maintenance or diesel equipment experience.
  • Familiarity with computerized fleet maintenance software.
  • ASE certifications are a plus but not required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, crouch, and work in a shop environment for extended periods.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to safely operate vehicles and maintenance equipment.
