Ability to configure laboratory test systems using CF, KF, NPT, and VCR fittings for vacuum and gas-handling setups
Ability to wire assemblies and create test cables
Proficiency with equipment such as multimeters, signal generator, oscilloscopes, Lakeshores (temperature measurement), vacuum pumps, and vacuum gauges
Ability to successfully troubleshoot problems or perform routine maintenance on equipment, such as compressors, scroll vacuum pumps, and turbomolecular vacuum pumps
Ability to comfortably work on chilled water systems or liquefied gas systems
Prioritized Skillsets:
• Practical, hands-on experience working with vacuum systems, particularly experience configuring laboratory test systems using CF, KF, NPT, and VCR fittings for vacuum and gas-handling setups.
• Experience with wiring assemblies and creating test cables
• Experience with chilled water systems and liquefied gas systems
• Experience with equipment such as multimeters, signal generator, oscilloscopes, Lakeshores (temperature measurement), vacuum pumps, and vacuum gauges

Studies and records time, motion, methods, and speed to improve efficiency and establish a standard production rate in performance of maintenance, production, clerical, and other worker operations. Requires a high school degree or its equivalent with 4-6 years of experience in the field. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May direct and lead the work of others. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Independently perform hands-on electrical and mechanical assembly of prototype systems, while also being expected to collaborate with senior technicians, engineers, and scientists in the execution of project milestones and deliverables. Possess a strong safety mindset while operating or troubleshooting cryogenic and electromagnetic equipment, and assist in the documentation of the processes involved with operating said equipment. General lab maintenance, including 5S, is expected.
Key Responsibilities:

•Assists in documentation of existing systems and processes.
•Responsible for general lab maintenance and organization, engages in 5S events.
