Overview
Client is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to support the design, development, integration, verification, and validation of complex embedded software systems. This role requires strong experience with embedded software architecture, low-level programming, communication protocols, software integration, and software verification and validation (V&V) in a hands-on engineering environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Design and develop complex embedded software and firmware solutions.
- Participate in embedded software architecture and software design activities.
- Develop embedded software using C and C for embedded controllers and processors.
- Design and implement software supporting embedded communication protocols.
- Perform software verification and validation (V&V) activities.
- Execute unit, functional, and system-level software testing using both manual and automated methods.
- Support embedded software and firmware integration activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects using advanced debugging techniques.
- Utilize configuration management tools throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with engineering teams throughout design, development, integration, testing, and deployment.
Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Experience designing complex embedded software architectures.
- Strong programming experience with C and C .
- Experience developing embedded software and firmware.
- Experience with Software Verification and Validation (V&V).
- Experience performing unit, functional, and system-level testing.
- Experience with both manual and automated software testing.
- Knowledge of CAN, I2C, SPI, and RS232 communication protocols.
- Experience integrating embedded software and firmware.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience using software configuration management tools.
Work Details
- Carson, CA.
- 100% onsite.
- Five days per week onsite.
