Wright is seeking an experienced Electronics Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who wants to work in a fast-paced R&D environment, work side-by-side with our engineers, and face new challenges every day. What You'll Do: Solder and rework power electronics and instrumentation PCBs Fabricate cables and wire harnesses Conduct and monitor tests of motors, generators, and other prototypes Collaborate with engineers to solve problems Maintain the soldering bench and power electronics lab Assist with installation of new equipment Who you are: Associates degree and/or 5-10 years equivalent experience Experience with industrial voltage electrical equipment and motors Experience procuring, fabricating, and assembling electrical and mechanical components for laboratory and prototype development including: Assembly, modification, repair, and testing of surface mount PCBs Electrical switchgear up to 480VAC and 1000VDC Cables and interconnects Ability and experience to operate laboratory equipment including computers, instrumentation, motors/generators, and small engines with minimal supervision Experience troubleshooting and resolving problems with laboratory equipment and facilities Previous responsibility for the maintenance of standard laboratory equipment and facilities including calibration of instruments and monitoring devices Experience designing test fixtures and test plans a plus IPC 7711/21 endorsement or similar preferred This position may require the ability to obtain access to National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Department of Defense (DoD) and other government facilities. Access to the facilities requires a background investigation by the U.S. Government.
