Overview
Client is seeking an experienced System Functional Test Engineer with an Electrical/Electronics background to support end-to-end validation across appliances, connectivity, mobile applications, cloud systems, and firmware. This role will focus on functional testing, OTA validation, MQTT workflows, Wi-Fi/BLE connectivity, defect management, and system-level regression testing.
Core Responsibilities
- Perform end-to-end system functional validation across appliances, connectivity, and cloud platforms.
- Execute OTA functional test scenarios, including update, retry, and rollback validation.
- Validate MQTT message flows and appliance-to-cloud communication.
- Perform system-level regression testing for firmware.
- Conduct functional testing for product information, configuration, product control and status, events, diagnostics, and OTA.
- Test Wi-Fi and BLE provisioning, reconnection, and connectivity workflows.
- Manage defects through JIRA and support the full defect lifecycle.
- Support Python-based test automation where applicable.
Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies
- Electrical/Electronics background required to perform assigned tasks.
- 5 years of relevant experience.
- Proven 9 years of experience validating appliances.
- Experience with functional testing and end-to-end system functional testing.
- Experience testing across mobile, cloud, and product/appliance firmware environments.
- Knowledge of OTA functional validation.
- Understanding of MQTT functional workflows.
- Experience with Wi-Fi and BLE functional testing.
- Experience with JIRA and defect lifecycle management.
- Associate Degree or Bachelor's degree in Electronics or a related field.
- Knowledge of Electrical/Electronics concepts and related fields.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality deliverables.
Preferred Skills or Experience
- Knowledge of laundry usage scenarios.
- Automation experience with Python.
- Python-based test automation experience.
