Position Overview
A growing manufacturer within the architectural lighting and electrical products industry is seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician to join its engineering team. This is a hands-on position focused on testing, analyzing, and validating electrical and electronic products throughout the product development lifecycle, from initial R&D and concept development through production.
Responsibilities
- Assist with testing and analysis of electronics and electrical projects using established testing procedures
- Build and configure testing setups for electrical and electronic products
- Perform hands-on laboratory testing and measurements
- Collect, organize, analyze, and document testing data
- Maintain testing schedules and ensure projects remain on track
- Support engineering teams during product development and design validation
- Work on multiple projects with varying timelines and priorities
- Prepare technical reports and document test results
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
- 0–2 years of product development, engineering, laboratory, or related experience
- Familiarity with electrical testing and measurement equipment, including:
- Oscilloscopes
- AC/DC power sources
- Multimeters
- Wattmeters
- Hands-on laboratory or relevant academic/project experience
- Understanding of high-voltage electrical safety requirements
- Ability to perform technical analysis and prepare written technical reports
- Experience testing LED drivers and LED lighting products is preferred
