Electrical Engineer

Location: Tulsa, OK

Position Summary

Our client is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the design and development of custom industrial equipment and engineered systems. This role will be responsible for creating electrical designs, developing project documentation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams from concept through manufacturing and commissioning.

The ideal candidate enjoys solving technical challenges, working directly with engineering and production teams, and contributing to a variety of custom projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Design electrical systems for custom-engineered industrial equipment and assemblies.
  • Develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and supporting engineering documentation.
  • Select electrical components based on project requirements, applicable standards, and customer specifications.
  • Prepare bills of materials and technical documentation to support manufacturing.
  • Coordinate with mechanical engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, and project management throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review customer requirements and incorporate design changes as projects progress.
  • Support production, testing, troubleshooting, and system validation activities.
  • Assist with technical problem-solving during fabrication, assembly, and startup.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable electrical codes, industry standards, and company engineering practices.
  • Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
  • 3 years of electrical design experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience designing industrial electrical systems or engineered equipment.
  • Proficiency using AutoCAD Electrical, AutoCAD, or similar electrical design software.
  • Knowledge of industrial control systems, power distribution, instrumentation, or automation.
  • Ability to read and create electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and project coordination abilities.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with engineered-to-order manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of electrical control panels, industrial equipment, or process systems.
  • Familiarity with PLC-based control systems and industrial communications.
  • Understanding of NEC, NFPA, UL, or other applicable electrical standards.
  • Experience supporting production, commissioning, or field troubleshooting.
