A growing engineering and manufacturing organization is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join its multidisciplinary team supporting high-performance CNC precision machinery and related equipment.
This is a direct hire opportunity offering hands-on involvement in electrical system design, troubleshooting, testing, and cross-functional engineering collaboration — with mentorship and growth potential built into the role.
What You'll Do:
• Design and document electrical systems for advanced machine tools and industrial equipment
• Create electrical drawings using AutoCAD (Electrical AutoCAD preferred)
• Develop electrical bills of materials and maintain component data within the ERP system
• Support project cost estimating and budget compliance
• Conduct electrical testing, troubleshooting, machine start-up, and equipment validation
• Participate in new product introductions, assembly support, and in-house machine testing
• Collaborate closely with Mechanical Engineering, Controls, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Service, and Operations teams
• Help evaluate and implement technologies that improve performance, manufacturability, quality, and cost efficiency
• Support installed equipment service and maintenance activities as needed
• Primarily office/computer-based engineering work, with occasional time spent on the manufacturing floor
• Weekend overtime may occasionally be required based on business demands (paid overtime eligible)
• Travel is very limited, though occasional domestic or international travel may be required
What We're Looking For:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering required
• Preferred: 3–5 years of Electrical Engineering experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
• Open to candidates with approximately 2 years of experience who demonstrate strong growth potential
• Experience with electrical systems, electrical drawings, AutoCAD, and engineering collaboration across disciplines
• ERP system experience required; Microsoft Office proficiency required
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, integrity, and ability to work within deadlines
Preferred Industry Backgrounds:
• CNC machine tools / machine shops
• Machine tool manufacturing
• Industrial or manufacturing environments
• Turbine / power generation environments
• Complex electrical systems engineering environments
