We're partnering with a growing industrial manufacturer seeking an Electrical CAD Designer/Drafter to develop detailed electrical drawings and design documentation for custom industrial equipment. Working alongside engineering and manufacturing teams, you'll create electrical schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and production documentation that support equipment from concept through fabrication.

What You'll Own
Electrical Design & Drafting

Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts for custom industrial equipment

Develop accurate electrical drawings and CAD models that support manufacturing and assembly

Prepare production, fabrication, installation, and electrical documentation packages

Interpret engineering concepts and convert them into production-ready electrical designs

Ensure drawings meet company standards, customer requirements, and manufacturing needs
Engineering Documentation

Maintain engineering drawings, revisions, and document control

Create and update bills of materials (BOMs)

Revise electrical drawings to reflect engineering changes and customer requirements

Verify drawing accuracy, completeness, and manufacturability before release

Support engineering documentation throughout each phase of the project
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Project Management throughout the design process

Support production by resolving drawing questions and implementing design revisions

Assist with improving drafting standards and engineering documentation practices

Coordinate multiple projects while maintaining quality and meeting project deadlines
What We're Looking For
Associate degree in Drafting, Electrical Engineering Technology, Design Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
2+ years of electrical drafting or electrical design experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical, AutoCAD, or similar electrical CAD software
Experience creating electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and bills of materials
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and manufacturing requirements
Knowledge of industrial electrical systems, control panels, electrical components, and drafting standards
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments

Work Environment
This position is primarily office-based with regular interaction throughout an active manufacturing facility. You'll collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and production teams while supporting projects from concept through fabrication. PPE—including safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety footwear—is required when entering production areas. The manufacturing environment includes typical industrial conditions such as noise, dust, moving equipment, and varying temperatures.
