EHS / SAFETY COORDINATOR

Salary: $70,000–$80,000
POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking an EHS / Safety Coordinator to support safety programs within a growing manufacturing operation in Tulsa.
This is a hands-on position with significant time spent on the manufacturing floor working directly with employees and supervisors. The Safety Coordinator will help identify workplace hazards, ensure compliance with safety requirements, conduct training, investigate incidents, and promote a strong safety culture throughout the facility.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working in an active industrial environment and enjoys being visible and engaged with employees rather than managing safety strictly from an office.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform regular safety inspections and audits throughout the manufacturing facility
Identify potential workplace hazards and work with supervisors and employees to implement corrective actions
Support compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies
Conduct safety orientations for new employees
Develop and conduct safety training, toolbox talks, and other employee safety programs
Monitor employee compliance with PPE and safe work practices
Investigate workplace incidents, injuries, near misses, and safety concerns
Participate in root-cause investigations and development of corrective actions
Maintain required safety documentation, records, and reports
Assist with OSHA recordkeeping and regulatory reporting requirements
Monitor corrective actions to ensure identified safety issues are resolved
Work closely with Production, Operations, Maintenance, and Human Resources on safety initiatives
Support emergency preparedness and response procedures
Assist with continuous improvement of company safety policies, procedures, and training programs
Promote employee participation and accountability in workplace safety
QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience in an EHS, Safety Coordinator, Safety Specialist, or similar industrial safety role
Experience working within a manufacturing, industrial, construction, or similar environment preferred
Working knowledge of OSHA General Industry regulations
Ability to identify workplace hazards and recommend practical corrective actions
Experience conducting safety training and employee orientations
Familiarity with incident investigation and root-cause analysis
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Comfortable working directly with production employees and supervisors on the manufacturing floor
Strong organizational and documentation skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on corrective actions
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Manufacturing safety experience
OSHA 30 or other relevant safety training/certifications
Knowledge of OSHA recordkeeping requirements
Experience with workers' compensation and incident management
Familiarity with FMCSA or transportation-related safety requirements
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Safety, or a related field is preferred but not required with appropriate experience
