Position Summary
The role involves the responsibility of safely and efficiently transporting company products, raw materials, supplies, equipment, and other materials to and from customers, vendors, warehouses, and company facilities. You are expected to provide reliable service while adhering to all company policies, traffic laws, food safety requirements, and vehicle safety procedures.
Responsibilities
  • Safely operate company vehicles to transport products, materials, and supplies.
  • Load and unload products and materials while ensuring they are handled safely and securely.
  • Inspect the vehicle before and after each trip and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Ensure products are properly secured during transportation to prevent damage or contamination.
  • Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules and communicate any delays or changes to the supervisor.
  • Complete delivery paperwork, bills of lading, invoices, logs, and other required documentation accurately.
  • Obtain customer signatures or delivery confirmations when required.
  • Maintain professional and courteous communication with customers, vendors, and company personnel.
  • Follow all applicable federal, state, and local traffic laws and regulations.
  • Follow company policies regarding vehicle operation, safety, sanitation, and food/product handling.
  • Keep the assigned vehicle clean, organized, and in good operating condition.
  • Refuel vehicles and perform basic vehicle checks as needed.
  • Report accidents, traffic violations, product damage, vehicle problems, or other incidents immediately.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, warehouse activities, or other operational duties when needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect company and customer information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle being operated.
  • Clean or acceptable driving record.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to safely operate a company vehicle for extended periods.
  • Ability to read and follow delivery instructions, routes, and company procedures.
  • Ability to complete basic paperwork and delivery documentation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
  • Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull products and materials.
  • Must follow all safety and company policies.
  • Must be willing to submit to required background and driving-record checks, where applicable.
