Digital Marketing Specialist
Position Overview
The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing and executing digital strategies, solutions, and online experiences that improve usability, design, content, and conversion rates across web and eCommerce platforms. This role supports website development, digital marketing campaigns, UX design initiatives, and ongoing platform optimization while collaborating with internal stakeholders and business partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain websites, web applications, and online marketing assets
- Design and develop fast-loading, standards-compliant front-end web experiences using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery
- Create technical architecture for web portals including wireframes, dynamic menus, expandable content areas, and UX-focused layouts
- Build prototypes utilizing modern UX design patterns and best practices
- Research and implement new web technologies and digital solutions as appropriate
- Ensure websites and applications meet 508 accessibility compliance standards, including vendor-supported platforms
- Serve as publisher for web portals, ensuring content accuracy, branding consistency, and proper language usage
- Gather information for needs assessments and support development of business objectives and project timelines
- Conduct analyses related to business applications, cost-benefit, data feasibility, technical workflows, and process improvements
- Partner with marketing teams and business stakeholders to support timely execution of marketing programs and campaigns
- Act as a departmental contact for corporate initiatives and task forces, identifying risks and recommending alternative solutions
- Establish priorities for system enhancements, process improvements, and digital platform updates
- Identify and document business and system requirements for digital projects
- Develop and implement user communications, campaign templates, landing pages, and related marketing assets
- Maintain themes, styles, branding elements, and digital campaign standards
- Support ongoing maintenance and development of internal web platforms
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in New Media, Visual Communications, Design, Marketing, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 4 years of professional experience in Digital Media production, web technologies, development, and support
- Experience with audio, video, and multimedia formats
- Experience with art direction in both print and digital media
- Strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite including:
- Premiere Pro
- After Effects
- Illustrator
- Photoshop
- Strong project leadership and strategic planning skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with changing deadlines
- Strong multitasking and organizational abilities
- Experience collaborating across departments to deliver design and digital marketing projects
- Excellent presentation, communication, and conceptual thinking skills
- Self-motivated with strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Proven record of accountability and independent judgment
- Exposure to application interface design and online advertising design
- Broad understanding of current web design trends, digital techniques, and UX best practices
- Understanding of website priorities, product development, audience engagement, site traffic, and page view optimization
