Description:
Responsible for hardware integration and final assembly including liaison actions. Reviews engineering models and technical drawings for producibility. Identifies design errors, omissions, and other deficiencies, and recommends revisions and/or improvements in design layout to responsible engineers or designers. Works within a model based engineering environment (3DX). Leverages understanding of flight hardware and assembly processes to define operations procedures and build sequences. Provides input regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and assembly / service techniques. Investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies.
Position requires periodic travel.
Must have extensive experience in aircraft . Must have the personal attributes conducive to work within an IPT (Integrated Product Team). Must have the ability, technical background and confidence to work independently and make critical program decisions. Preferred experience with complete integrated air vehicle designs.
Required experience:
•10 years of aircraft sub-systems or structures assembly / integration
•Development/ protype/ first article, program support (new product introduction / NPI)
•Current proficiency in 3DX or Catia V5 software
•Review of engineering models and technical drawings for producibility of new designs
•Applied aircraft experience (such as production support, maintenance or testing)
Desired experience:
•On vehicle testing and troubleshooting of aircraft sub-systems
•Liaison engineering type experience
•Hands-on production / shop floor support (Direct ownership and support of specific manufacturing operations as well as interface with touch-labor employees)
•Manufacturing assembly work instruction authoring
•Jet engine integration, service and maintenance familiarity
•Wire harness and interconnect installation/ integration
•Aircraft fuel systems
•Metallic part machining working knowledge
•Delmia software usage
•Aviation Maintenance Experience, A & P license or similar
•engineering degree
Active secret clearance required . CE enrollment or investigation within last 5 years.
