Nesco Resource is hiring a 1st shift Deluxer/Inspector for our local Client in Conover, NC
Pay: $16.00 hour - if solid work history, experience, will discuss a higher rate
Hours: Monday - Friday
Position Summary:
Ensures that each piece has been built correctly according to ticket and that each piece is properly deluxed (steamed, strings clipped, etc.).
| Position Responsibilities:
|
- Check ticket to ensure options are correct.
- Deluxe piece to quality specifications.
- Secure all dock labels, hang tags, cleaning codes, etc.
- Ensure all backs, cushions, pillows are filled correctly.
- Inspect all finish wood for defects.
- Pushes frames to and from work station.

- Maintains neat and orderly work station.
- Must monitor "out of flow pieces and actively manage to resolve and return to production.
- Wears required safety glasses and work shoes; works safely and reports unsafe conditions to Dept. Supervisor.
- Performs daily stretching exercises.
- Performs other duties as required by supervisor.

- Must be knowledgeable in upholstery methods.
- English is required to read tickets and job notes.

| Physical demands and work environment:
|
- Lift / Carry:
Females lift up to 35 lbs. males lift up to 50 lbs.; team lift greater weights.
- Standing: Must be able to stand 8 hours.

- Reach / Handle:
Frequently required to reach, handle various areas on the upholstered item.
- Tool Usage:
Must be able to use air hose, snips, regulator and other upholstery tools.
- Crouch/Bend/Stoop/Kneel/Crawl:
Frequently required when inspecting furniture item.
- Push / Pull:
Frequently moving furniture items on/off lift tables or sliding across floor.
- Environment:
Indoors, environmentally controlled – 100%.
- Automation:
Scissor lift for positioning.
- Color Determination:
Must distinguish fabrics by color and design for matching.
- Near Acuity:
Requires close vision of less than 3 feet, with or without corrective lenses, for
