Overview

Client is seeking a detail-oriented Customer Domain Specialist to support customer data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systems, processes, and active initiatives. This role will operate as part of a CX SWAT team focused on resolving customer data, system, and process discrepancies that impact downstream business operations.

Core Responsibilities

  • Own the accuracy and consistency of customer data across systems and platforms.
  • Ensure alignment of customer records, hierarchies, and attributes across business touchpoints.
  • Identify and resolve customer data discrepancies, duplication, and inconsistencies.
  • Investigate and resolve critical customer domain issues as part of a CX SWAT team.
  • Perform root cause analysis on system, data, and process-related defects.
  • Define and monitor data quality rules, validations, and controls.
  • Establish and enforce customer data standards, definitions, and governance practices.
  • Partner with IT and data teams to support proper system configurations and data flows.
  • Review in-flight initiatives impacting customer data and systems.
  • Act as a gatekeeper for customer domain-related changes.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, operations, finance, and vendor teams.
  • Track and report on data quality metrics, including accuracy, completeness, duplication, and error rates.
  • Define and document standard operating procedures for customer data management.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and reduce manual intervention.

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies

  • 5 years of experience in data management, business analysis, operations, or customer domain roles.
  • Strong understanding of master data management and data governance principles.
  • Experience with data quality management, reconciliation, and issue resolution.
  • Experience working with customer data platforms, ERP/CRM systems, or Customer 360 environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work across business, technical, and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience tracking data quality metrics and identifying risks impacting data integrity.
  • Experience documenting SOPs or customer data management processes.

Preferred Skills or Experience

  • Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Retail or distribution industry experience.
