Nesco  is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical  Cycle Counter  to support the MP&L team with inventory accuracy and organization.
This temporary position plays a critical role in identifying discrepancies, investigating inventory issues, and ensuring materials are properly tracked within a manufacturing environment.

Role:  Cycle Counter
Location:  Livonia, MI
Shift: 1  st   8:30 am-4:30 pm
Pay Rate: $24.00/hr

6-month Contract, with potential for permanent placement


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy

  • Troubleshoot and investigate component outages and inventory discrepancies

  • Research information related to rejects, traceability, barcode and scanning errors to determine root cause

  •  Adjust inventory as needed based on investigation findings

  • Enter reject tags into the database accurately

  • Run and analyze negative parts reports

  • Investigate and correct inventory variances

  • Communicate findings and updates to Business Unit Managers and Material Coordinators

  • Operate a forklift as needed to move items in the warehouse

  •  Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, customer requirements, company Core HSE standards, and facility HSE programs

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • 4+ years of Manufacturing and/or assembly experience required

  • 4+ years of Inventory cycle count experience required

  • Knowledge of 8D or structured problem-solving methods preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • High attention to detail – accuracy in counting is mandatory


WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• 80% manufacturing floor environment (may be noisy, occasionally dirty, and subject to temperature changes)
• 20% office setting
• Moderate physical activity including prolonged standing, sitting, climbing, reaching, stooping, squatting, twisting, lifting, and walking
• Strong visual attention and accuracy required
