Customer Service Representative
Dedicated Customer Service professional with extensive experience assisting customers by telephone and in person, providing information regarding products, services, licenses, registrations, permits, titles, and program eligibility. Responsible for handling inquiries, processing applications and account changes, resolving billing and service issues, and maintaining accurate records of all customer interactions. Researches policies and procedures to resolve complex concerns while exercising discretion when handling confidential and sensitive information. Collects payments, reconciles receipts, prepares daily deposits, and uses computer systems for data entry and account maintenance. Delivers exceptional service in fast-paced environments while demonstrating strong communication skills, attention to detail, and sound problem-solving abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to customer inquiries by phone and in person regarding products, services, accounts, and eligibility requirements.
- Provide information related to licenses, registrations, titles, permits, and public assistance programs.
- Process applications, contract forms, account updates, change of address requests, and service discontinuation orders.
- Resolve customer service and billing complaints by researching issues and implementing appropriate solutions.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of customer interactions, inquiries, complaints, and actions taken.
- Determine service charges, collect payments and deposits, and arrange billing.
- Reconcile cash receipts, balance transactions, and prepare daily deposits.
- Refer unresolved concerns to appropriate departments for additional investigation and follow-up.
- Research and interpret policies and procedures to resolve complex customer issues.
- Exercise discretion when handling confidential and sensitive information.
- Perform general administrative and clerical duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous customer service and data entry experience preferred.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Experience with cash handling and reconciliation.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
