Molder Operator
Monday - Friday 7am-5pm 

Position Summary
The Door/Cabinet Molder Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining molder machines used in the production of wood doors, cabinet components, trim, and molding products. This position ensures products are manufactured to quality specifications, production schedules are met, and all safety procedures are followed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate molder machinery to produce doors, cabinet components, moldings, and related wood products.
  • Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and production specifications.
  • Adjust machine settings, tooling, guides, and feed rates to meet product requirements.
  • Inspect raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments during production runs.
  • Change knives, cutter heads, and tooling as required.
  • Measure finished parts using calipers, tape measures, and other precision measuring instruments.
  • Identify and troubleshoot machine issues to minimize downtime.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and basic repairs on equipment.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized according to 5S and housekeeping standards.
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations.
  • Collaborate with supervisors, maintenance personnel, and team members to meet production goals.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience operating woodworking equipment, molders, or similar manufacturing machinery preferred.
  • Experience in door, cabinet, millwork, or woodworking manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of woodworking processes and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Proficiency in using measuring tools and quality inspection equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
  • Ability to meet production deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
  • Frequently lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work around machinery, dust, noise, and moving mechanical parts.
  • Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed footwear.
Work Environment
  • Manufacturing or production facility.
  • Exposure to wood dust, noise, and varying temperatures.
  • Overtime and weekend work may be required based on production demands.
