Custodian – Construction Cleanup

Location: Phoenix, AZ
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
Pay:$18.00/hour

Position Summary

Nesco Resource is seeking a dependable Custodian to assist with cleaning and maintaining the interior of a facility during ongoing construction. This is a hands-on position focused on construction cleanup, debris removal, general cleaning, and keeping work areas safe and organized.

The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-conscious, comfortable performing physical work, and able to work around active construction areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean interior areas impacted by ongoing construction
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean floors and work areas
• Remove construction debris, trash, dust, and other materials
• Empty trash containers and properly dispose of waste
• Wipe down surfaces and remove dust from construction activity
• Maintain clean and organized hallways, common areas, and workspaces
• Assist with general custodial and janitorial duties throughout the facility
• Identify and report potential safety hazards
• Follow all construction-site and facility safety procedures
• Wear required PPE while working in designated areas
• Assist with additional cleanup and general labor duties as needed

Qualifications

• Previous custodial, janitorial, construction cleanup, or general labor experience preferred
• Comfortable working around active construction
• Dependable with good attendance and punctuality
• Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
• Strong attention to cleanliness and detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical & Safety Requirements

• Steel-toe boots are required and must cover the ankle
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Frequent bending, reaching, stooping, and repetitive movement
• Ability to perform physical cleaning duties throughout the shift
• Ability to lift and move cleaning supplies, trash, and construction debris as needed
• Must wear all required PPE
• Comfortable working in a construction environment where dust, noise, and varying temperatures may be present
