Position Summary
Nesco Resource is seeking a dependable Creeler Operato r for a textile manufacturing facility. The Creeler Operator is responsible for loading and replacing yarn packages on the creel, ensuring continuous yarn flow to production equipment, and maintaining product quality while working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Job Duties

  • Load, replace, and thread yarn packages onto the creel according to production specifications.
  • Monitor yarn supply and replace empty packages promptly to prevent machine downtime.
  • Tie yarn ends together using approved knotting methods to maintain continuous operation.
  • Inspect yarn for defects, damage, tangles, or incorrect lot numbers before loading.
  • Follow production schedules and creeling patterns to ensure proper machine setup.
  • Assist machine operators with startup, changeovers, and troubleshooting yarn-related issues.
  • Remove empty tubes, cones, and other waste materials from the work area.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following 5S standards.
  • Record production information, yarn usage, and downtime as required.
  • Perform routine quality checks to ensure proper yarn tension and alignment.
  • Follow all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and quality procedures.
  • Communicate equipment or material issues to supervisors and maintenance personnel.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous textile manufacturing or creeling experience is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic math and communication skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently lift, carry, and move yarn packages weighing up to 35–50 pounds.
  • Stand and walk for the entire shift (8–12 hours).
  • Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, stooping, and climbing ladders or platforms.
  • Ability to work in a warm, noisy manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to distinguish yarn colors and identify defects.
  • Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing/textile production facility.
  • Fast-paced environment with moving machinery.
  • Exposure to heat, dust, lint, and moderate to high noise levels.
  • Overtime and weekend work may be required based on production needs.
