Credit Representative

Position Overview

The Credit Representative provides operational, administrative, and reporting support to the Credit Department within an invoice factoring environment. This position works closely with Credit Analysts and Credit leadership to ensure information is accurate, organized, current, and readily available to support effective portfolio monitoring and credit risk management.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with large amounts of data, and proficient in Microsoft Excel. While the primary focus of the position is administrative and reporting support, analytical aptitude and an interest in developing credit and risk management skills are highly valued.

This position is well suited for someone who enjoys working with data, identifying discrepancies, improving processes, and supporting a fast-paced team where accuracy and timely information are critical.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Credit Team & Administrative Support

  • Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to Credit Analysts and Credit leadership.
  • Assist analysts with gathering, organizing, and maintaining:
    • Client information
    • Debtor information
    • Accounts receivable data
    • Credit-related information
  • Maintain accurate documentation and departmental records.
  • Assist with routine account maintenance and data updates within applicable systems and tracking tools.
  • Coordinate and track requests, follow-ups, and outstanding action items.
  • Prepare information and supporting materials for recurring:
    • Credit reviews
    • Portfolio reviews
    • Debtor reviews
    • Leadership reviews
  • Document meeting discussions, decisions, and action items as requested.
  • Follow up with appropriate team members to help ensure outstanding items are completed.
  • Support Credit leadership with special projects, data requests, research, and departmental initiatives.

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ability to work with large amounts of data.
  • Ability to gather, organize, maintain, and track financial and credit-related information.
  • Strong analytical aptitude with the ability to identify discrepancies and data inconsistencies.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, requests, and follow-up items in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with Credit Analysts, Credit leadership, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Interest in developing knowledge of credit analysis, portfolio monitoring, accounts receivable, and credit risk management.
  • Previous experience within credit, accounts receivable, finance, banking, lending, factoring, or financial services is beneficial.
