Overview
Join our dynamic production team and play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes. This position involves managing polymerization extrusion and chip handling processes while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. The role requires a commitment to rotating 12-hour shifts with occasional overtime.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the efficient operation of CP Lines, ensuring production quality and quantity meet company standards.
- Monitor and manage all aspects of polymerization extrusion and chip handling processes.
- Facilitate the transfer of products to silos, trucks, or boxes as needed.
- Conduct routine maintenance on machinery to optimize performance.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols.
- Perform color analysis, visual inspections, and chip weight assessments on product samples.
- Input sample analysis results into the database and report any anomalies promptly.
- Multitask effectively while maintaining high-quality production standards.
- Work independently and collaboratively within a multi-functional team environment.
- Follow detailed instructions to produce quality products safely.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an industrial setting.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to differentiate colors as relevant to job duties.
- Excellent planning, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Experience operating a forklift.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in polymer extrusion.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate and maintain machinery.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk on hard surfaces for more than 8 hours.
- Ability to reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl occasionally.
- Frequently lift/move up to 10 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs, and push/pull 100 lbs.
- Willingness to wear and use prescribed personal protective equipment, including a respirator.
