Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Control Panel Builder to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling and wiring industrial control panels according to electrical schematics and established standards. The ideal candidate has experience using hand tools, can read wiring diagrams, and takes pride in producing high-quality work with minimal errors.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Build and assemble electrical control panels
  • Mount electrical components and devices onto back panels
  • Measure, cut, and route wires to proper lengths
  • Wire devices and terminals according to schematics and procedures
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Operate shop tools, including drills, taps, and sheet metal cutting equipment
  • Maintain an organized and safe work area
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and quality standards
  • Participate in forklift training if required

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • General knowledge of electrical wiring and control panel assembly
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and work independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds or more

Preferred Skills

  • Experience building or wiring control panels
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools used in panel fabrication
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to quality workmanship and accuracy

Key Performance Indicators

  • Excellent attendance and punctuality
  • Control panels completed with minimal mistakes or rework
  • Accurate labor and job-hour data entry
