Position Overview

Seeking a customer-facing Contract Administrator to support contract administration, order management, and customer account activities. This role is focused on customer-facing contract support rather than supply chain or purchasing functions. The ideal candidate will have experience administering contracts, reviewing customer purchase orders, managing order activity, and supporting contract compliance and customer communication.

This position is responsible for administering contracts of moderate scope and complexity to ensure fulfillment of contractual obligations, compliance with company policies, and successful customer relationship management.

Key Responsibilities

Contract Administration

  • Administer assigned contracts by reviewing:
    • Customer purchase orders
    • Delivery schedules
    • Pricing
    • Terms and conditions
    • Contract provisions
  • Support contracts issued under:
    • Basic Contract Agreements
    • Long-Term Agreements
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and contractual obligations
  • Monitor contract performance and identify the need for amendments or extensions
  • Determine when customer-directed changes are outside the original scope of work

Proposal & Bid Support

  • Support proposal development and bid response activities
  • Analyze:
    • Performance requirements
    • Delivery schedules
    • Material and labor cost estimates
  • Coordinate with internal teams to gather proposal inputs
  • Prepare and submit responses to Requests for Proposal (RFPs)

Order Management & Customer Support

Responsibilities include:

  • Moderate order entry
  • Schedule changes and updates
  • Customer portal management
  • Demand planning support as part of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process
  • Customer communication and account support
  • Purchase Order and contract review/analysis

Customer & Contract Support

  • Serve as the primary customer point of contact for assigned contracts
  • Participate in customer meetings and presentations
  • Investigate and resolve customer claims or complaints
  • Coordinate with internal teams regarding:
    • Technical issues
    • Quality concerns
    • Data requirements
    • Business-related issues

Compliance & Process Improvement

  • Support export compliance administration activities
  • Ensure compliance with:
    • Federal regulations
    • State regulations
    • Aerospace industry standards
    • Company policies and procedures
  • Utilize lean principles to develop and implement standard work processes
  • Maintain current knowledge of contract management best practices and industry standards

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
  • Contract management certification preferred:
    • NCMA
    • IACCM
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in:
    • Contract administration
    • Customer-facing contract support
    • Order management
    • Commercial contract coordination
  • Experience reviewing and managing customer contracts and purchase orders
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Contract administration principles
    • Commercial contracting
    • Export control regulations
    • Government contracting (if applicable)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules
  • Ability to interpret moderately complex contract language and policies

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/customer systems

Additional Information

  • This role is focused on customer-facing contract administration rather than supply chain or purchasing functions
  • Candidates with commercial contract administration experience are strongly preferred over procurement-focused backgrounds
  • Aerospace or manufacturing industry experience is a plus
