Overview
Client is seeking a Data & Performance Engineer to support data management, business reporting, performance analysis, and process improvement initiatives. This role will own reporting tools, develop and enhance Power BI dashboards, analyze performance trends, and partner with IT and business teams to improve data visibility and reporting capabilities.
Core Responsibilities
- Own and manage reporting processes, tools, and dashboards used to track business performance.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports for operational and strategic use.
- Analyze large data sets to identify performance trends, key metrics, and improvement opportunities.
- Partner with IT and cross-functional business teams to develop, improve, and automate reporting solutions.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reporting platforms.
- Identify reporting gaps and recommend solutions that improve data accessibility and decision-making.
- Support Lean workflows and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Document reporting processes, dashboard logic, metrics, and data definitions.
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to improve operational performance.
- Standardize metrics, reporting structures, and workflow processes across teams.
Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or another technical field.
- 5 years of experience.
- Experience with reporting and data visualization.
- Power BI dashboard development and reporting experience.
- Strong data management and analytical skills, including experience interpreting and communicating performance trends.
- Experience collaborating with IT and business stakeholders on reporting or system enhancement projects.
- Knowledge of Lean principles, process improvement methodologies, or workflow optimization.
- Ability to independently manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Skills or Experience
- Experience in manufacturing, operations, supply chain, or another performance-driven environment.
- Familiarity with SQL, Excel, Power Query, DAX, or related reporting and analytics tools.
- Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives and KPI development.
- Knowledge of data governance and reporting best practices.
Work Details
- Onsite in Hemlock, Michigan.
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
- Overtime may be required.
- This is an ITAR-regulated facility. Candidates must comply with applicable DOD and ITAR requirements and be U.S. citizens or U.S. nationals.
