Job Summary
The Continuous Improvement (CI) Leader is responsible for driving operational excellence by leading process improvement initiatives across the organization. This role utilizes Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement methodologies to eliminate waste, improve quality, increase productivity, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction. The CI Leader works collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and facilitate continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other improvement methodologies.
• Identify process improvement opportunities through data analysis, value stream mapping, and performance metrics.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, quality, safety, and operational efficiency.
• Facilitate Kaizen events, workshops, and problem-solving sessions.
• Coach and mentor employees on Lean principles and continuous improvement tools.
• Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and ensure achievement of improvement targets.
• Standardize processes and ensure sustainability of implemented improvements.
• Conduct root cause analysis using tools such as:
o 5 Why Analysis
o Fishbone (Ishikawa) Diagram
o Pareto Analysis
o Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
• Collaborate with department managers to prioritize improvement initiatives.
• Support change management activities and encourage employee engagement.
• Prepare reports and presentations for leadership on project progress, savings, and business impact.
• Promote a culture of operational excellence and continuous learning.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in Continuous Improvement, Operations, Manufacturing, or Process Excellence.
• Experience leading cross-functional improvement projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and leadership abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (preferred).
• Experience with ERP systems and business intelligence tools.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or other quality management systems (industry dependent).
