ontract Specialist – Engineering Consultant Section (ADOT)

This position serves as a Contract Specialist supporting the Engineering Consultant Section of ADOT. The selected candidate will be responsible for contract administration, financial review, and accounting-related functions while ensuring compliance with established contract requirements and agency policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and reconcile accounting transactions.
  • Review and approve accounts payable transactions in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Process and review reports and invoices.
  • Assist with contract administration and compliance activities.
  • Monitor budget expenditures and financial transactions.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Organize and prioritize work assignments to meet deadlines.

Required Knowledge & Experience

  • Experience with construction contracts.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Experience reviewing and reconciling accounting transactions.
  • Understanding of accounting practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of budgeting and expenditure tracking.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

  • General computer proficiency and ability to learn agency systems

Additional Requirements

  • Candidate must be available and willing to work onsite two days per week.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills are required.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
