Position Summary:
The Mixer Truck Driver is responsible for operating a ready-mix concrete truck to safely deliver concrete throughout the precast production facility. This position supports production operations by coordinating concrete pours, maintaining equipment, and ensuring timely delivery while following all safety and quality standards..
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate ready-mix concrete truck to deliver concrete to designated production areas.
- Coordinate concrete pours with production and bed personnel
- Monitor concrete consistency and adjust maintain proper slump levels
- Properly load, transport, and discharge concrete safely and efficiently
- Perform daily equipment inspections and check fluid levels
- Conduct minor maintenance and report repair needs to maintenance team
- Assist with preventative maintenance on batch plant equipment
- Operate loader equipment and assist with plant maintenance as needed
- Utilize computerized batching systems when required
- Previous experience operating a concrete mixer truck preferred
- Heavy equipment operation experience preferred
- Ability to operate construction tools and equipment
- Blueprint reading experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Outdoor and sheltered manufacturing environment
- Work area is not controlled and may involve exposure to changing weather conditions
- Schedule may vary based on workload and production demands
- Overtime may be required as needed
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Frequent bending, climbing, and repetitive motion throughout the shift
