Compounder-Nutra(Powders Weigh Up and Blending Operator)

Shift: Mon-Fri 5am-3:30pm, Weekends/OT as needed

General Description

This position performs and/or supports the operations of the Powders Weigh Up and Blending Rooms, ensures proper procedures are followed to meet assigned production targets, and maintains safety and quality of products.

Safety-Sensitive Position: This position is considered safety-sensitive as it involves operating, maintaining, or monitoring equipment, machinery, power tools, and material handling equipment where performance could affect the safety and health of the employee or others.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Follow good health and hygiene practices, including gowning.
• Follow procedures for changing gloves between raw materials.
• Follow Good Weighing Practices.
• Stage raw materials for weigh up.
• Accurately weigh raw materials according to the Batch Production Record.
• Follow approved operating procedures for weigh up of materials, read scale weights properly, and record the exact weight on the Batch Production Record following Good Documentation Practices.
• Follow approved operating procedures for blending raw materials and blending times outlined in the Batch Production Record.
• Record blending times on the Batch Production Record.
• Clean and sanitize weigh up and blending utensils following approved procedures.
• Clean weigh up and blending rooms following approved procedures.
• Use Good Documentation Practices and write legibly on all documentation.
• Notify Maintenance if equipment in the weigh up room requires attention.
• Follow all safety policies, programs, and procedures.
• Record work on timesheets.
• Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

• Basic mathematical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
• Ability to follow directions on Batch Production Records.
• Ability to follow approved operating procedures.
• Ability to read and record weights in grams and kilograms.
• Ability to write legibly and use Good Documentation Practices.
• Must possess a sense of urgency, accountability, professionalism, and self-motivation.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, turn, stoop, and squat repetitively throughout the shift.
• Ability to operate a pallet jack.
