CNC Operator (Milling Machine Operator)
1st Shift – Monday – Friday 7:30am – 4:00pm (Overtime as needed)

Growing Manufacturing Company Seeking Experienced CNC Mill Operator . This position is responsible for operating CNC milling equipment to produce precision metal components according to blueprints, work instructions, and customer specifications.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating CNC mills, performing machine setups, making adjustments, and using precision measuring tools to ensure quality and accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC milling machines to machine aluminum and metal components
  • Set up machines, load materials, and verify tooling prior to production runs
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and production instructions
  • Make machine adjustments, offsets, and tooling changes as needed
  • Select appropriate cutting tools based on job requirements
  • Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring equipment
  • Maintain quality standards by verifying dimensions and specifications
  • Troubleshoot basic machining issues and communicate concerns to leadership
  • Follow production schedules while meeting quality expectations
Requirements
  • 2 years of CNC milling machine experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience operating and setting up CNC mills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Experience using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
  • Knowledge of tooling, feeds, speeds, and machine adjustments
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and follow written instructions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Preferred Experience
  • CNC machining of aluminum or fabricated metal components
  • Vertical machining center (VMC) experience
  • Experience with Haas, Fanuc, or similar CNC controls
  • Knowledge of G-code, M-Code, and basic CNC programming
  • Experience in a custom fabrication or job shop environment
