Summary: Nesco Resource is seeking a skilled CNC Setup / Operator to join a manufacturing team in Rochester, NY. This role is responsible for setting up and operating CNC mills and Bridgeport machines to produce high-quality parts in a safe and efficient manner. The ideal candidate has strong setup experience, can edit programs, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
Pay Rate:
- $22.00 – $32.00/Hour (Based On Exp.)
Shift:
- Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC mills, Bridgeport machines, and associated equipment
- Edit CNC programs according to established procedures
- Inspect parts using in-process inspection documentation and tools
- Complete and maintain all quality and production-related paperwork
- Troubleshoot machining issues and implement process improvements
- Train and support team members as needed
- Maintain organized tooling inventory and order replacements as required
- Perform preventative maintenance and cleaning on machines
- Support other sheet metal fabrication processes as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Follow all QMS and safety procedures
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of CNC setup and operating experience (vertical mills, Bridgeport, etc.)
- Ability to read blueprints, interpret drawings, and understand G-code
- Experience using inspection equipment to verify part quality
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Ability to lift and handle metal parts and tooling
- Ability to work efficiently to production standards while maintaining quality
- Additional sheet metal experience (punch press, spot welding, PEM, etc.) is a plus
