CNC Machinist / Operator (Mill)

Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Full-time)
Position Summary
Nesco Resource Staffing is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented CNC Machinist / CNC Machine Operator
to join one of our clients. This position is responsible for operating CNC milling machines to produce high-quality precision components while meeting production, quality, and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have experience operating CNC mills in a manufacturing environment. Experience performing CNC machine setups is highly preferred.
Primary Responsibilities
- Operate CNC milling machines to manufacture precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Load and unload raw materials and finished parts.
- Perform machine setups, tool changes, and fixture changes (preferred experience).
- Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and job travelers.
- Verify dimensions using precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and gauges.
- Monitor machine performance & make minor offset adjustments as needed to maintain quality.
- Inspect parts throughout machining process to ensure specs and tolerances are met.
- Deburr, clean, and prepare finished parts for the next stage of production.
- Replace cutting tools and monitor tool wear.
- Maintain production records and quality documentation.
- Perform routine machine maintenance including cleaning and lubrication.
- Keep work area organized and maintain a safe working environment.
- Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
- Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet daily production goals.
- Previous CNC machining or CNC machine operating experience required.
- Experience operating CNC vertical or horizontal milling machines.
- CNC machine setup experience is highly preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings.
- Experience using precision measuring equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Experience with Fanuc or Haas CNC controls.
- Knowledge of machining tolerances and geometric dimensions.
- Understanding of tooling, fixtures, and cutting tools.
- Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience is a plus.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Bend, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
- Manual dexterity required to operate machinery and measuring equipment.
