JOB DUTIES:
- Able to read and interpret tooling prints, work instructions, policies and procedures
- Working knowledge in manufacturing and quality processes and principles
- Able to solve practical problems with a variety of variables
- Able to calculate figures and amounts
- Able to perform entry level machining
- Able to maintain records and quality standards
- Able to operate manual and CNC lathes
- Able to use and read basic inspection tools: calipers micrometers, optical comparator
- Includes point grinders, Centerless grinders, Stamping machines
- Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or verbal from blueprints and or sketches
- Able to work accurately to meet precise tolerances of (+ - .001).
- Material knowledge of tool steels and carbide
- Maintain proper identification of parts and ensure accurate, reliable records are documented and maintained
- Able to investigate and resolve tooling issues causing quality errors and slowdowns
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment operated
- Able to perform basic set-up of one to two production machines with minimum help
* Ability to lift 50 lbs
*Ability to use small tools, electrical and other
* Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
