CNC Laser Programmer/Operator – 2nd Shift

Statesville, NC
Schedule: 2:30 p.m.–12:00 a.m.
Pay: Low $20s per hour, based on experience, plus a second-shift differential
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced CNC Laser Programmer/Operator with hands-on experience programming Amada or Mazak CNC laser equipment. This position requires someone with programming and setup knowledge—not solely machine-operating experience.
Responsibilities:

Program, set up, and operate Amada or Mazak CNC laser equipment

Create and modify programs, cutting paths, nesting layouts, speeds, and feeds

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders

Select materials and adjust machine settings for each job

Troubleshoot programming, setup, and machine-performance issues

Inspect completed parts using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools

Monitor quality and make necessary offsets or adjustments

Perform routine equipment inspections and basic preventive maintenance

Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures
Qualifications:
-
Previous experience programming Amada or Mazak CNC lasers is required

Must have programming and setup experience beyond loading and unloading parts

Strong blueprint-reading and measuring-tool skills

Knowledge of nesting, cutting parameters, speeds, feeds, and machine adjustments

Metal fabrication experience preferred

Strong attention to detail and mechanical troubleshooting skills

Ability to work independently and maintain reliable attendance
