Journeyman Machinist - 2nd Shift

Position Duties
- Operate manual machines and CNC mills and lathes.
- Set up and program CNC equipment.
- Manufacture products to drawings, sketches, and specifications.
- Perform prototype and R&D machining as needed.
- Design, fabricate, and grind cutting tools, fixtures, and tool holders.
- Repair and restore damaged tooling for reuse.
- Create sketches and toleranced drawings and maintain tooling records.
- Work with Engineering on design and manufacturability issues.
- Help train and support machine operators with equipment and programming.
- Look for ways to improve setups, cycle times, and overall efficiency.
- Meet production schedules and quality, productivity, utilization, scrap and rework goals.
- Perform other duties within your skill set as assigned by supervision or management.
Position Requirements
- Certified Journeyman Machinist with up to 5 years of experience.
- Strong manual machining skills.
- Proficiency operating and programming CNC mills and lathes.
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings and sketches.
- Working knowledge of CAD/CAM systems.
- Strong understanding of tooling, fixtures and machining processes.
- Ability to troubleshoot machining and tooling issues.
- Team player with a focus on quality, safety and continuous improvement.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass a preemployment screening
Shift:
2nd (3:30pm - 1:30am, Monday – Thursday)
4 DAY WORK WEEK!
Salary: $30/hour to $34/hour based on experience
$5,000 sign-on bonus, paid in milestones:
After 30 days: $1,000
After 90 days: $1,500
After 180 days: $2,500
